New Odense University Hospital
Work on the new Odense University Hospital continues towards the planned relocation of patients in late 2027. The remaining programme includes internal completion, technical installations, clinical environments, laboratories, and preparation for operational use. As the project advances, the focus is increasingly moving from general construction towards coordination between electrical, ventilation, water, drainage, medical, and building-management systems. Testing, documentation, commissioning, and handover will become progressively more important as individual areas are completed. This may support demand for MEP engineers, electrical and HVAC professionals, installation supervisors, commissioning personnel, planners, QA/QC functions, document controllers, and technical coordinators. Nordhavn Tunnel
The Nordhavn Tunnel remains under construction in 2026 and is expected to open towards the end of 2027. The 1.4-kilometre connection will extend Nordhavnsvej beneath Svanemølle Harbour and Kalkbrænderiløbet towards the expanding Nordhavn district. Current delivery takes place within a demanding urban and marine environment. The programme combines tunnel structures, excavation, ground engineering, road connections, water management, and interfaces with existing infrastructure. Later phases will also involve the installation and preparation of technical tunnel systems. Replacement of the Øresund 400 kV Cables
Energinet and Svenska kraftnät are replacing the high-voltage connection across Øresund between Denmark and Sweden. Construction is scheduled during 2026, with the wider project continuing through the installation and commissioning of the new cable system. On the Danish side, new land cables are being established between the coast and Skibstrupgård substation. The programme also includes subsea cable work, cross-border coordination, testing, and the later removal of the existing marine cables once the replacement system is operational. The project may create requirements within high-voltage engineering, land and subsea cable installation, marine coordination, substations, protection and control, testing, commissioning, environmental supervision, QA/QC, HSE, and project management. Grid Expansion
Hatting–Ryttergård Grid Connection
Energinet is beginning work on a new 150 kV cable connection between Hatting near Horsens and Ryttergård near Fredericia. The programme also includes the construction of a new high-voltage substation near Bredal. Preparatory archaeological work began in 2026, while underboring near Rands Fjord is scheduled for August. Cable construction will continue through subsequent phases, with activity extending into 2027 and the wider project period. Unlike the Øresund project, which renews an international connection, Hatting–Ryttergård is focused on strengthening the regional grid and creating capacity for increased electricity consumption and renewable-energy production in eastern Jutland. Relevant workforce functions may include high-voltage and electrical engineers, cable specialists, civil engineers, protection and control professionals, site supervisors, environmental personnel, commissioning teams, QA/QC, HSE, planners, and technical project coordinators.
